HFT Minivane 200

The MiniVane 20 is a positively buoyant deflector designed for sub surface towing. The device may be fixed to any towed underwater body that requires deflection. It is easy to convert from towing attachment on port side (as above) to towing from starboard side of the ship.

The MiniVane 20 has been designed to produce high lift power in combination with small size, and being a free floating sub sea unit, equally important has been stability. The L/D ratio is between 2 and 4 depending on setting. Prototype design allows for a depth to 50m, but can be increased if required. A horizontal lift of more than 2 tons at speed of approximately 4 knots was achieved during trials.
